Academics

Playschool, Nursery, Junior KG and Senior KG, each with its own learning goals and a smooth path to Class 1.

Our approach

We teach through play with a clear plan behind it. Each class follows themes such as me and my family, seasons, animals, transport and festivals. The same theme is used for stories, songs, art and counting, so that children meet an idea in many ways and remember it.

Six learning areas

Teachers observe and note each child's progress in six areas:

Language and literacy

Speaking, listening, sounds, letters, early reading and writing

Numbers and counting

Number sense, shapes, sorting, patterns and measuring

Motor skills

Hands (holding a crayon, threading, cutting) and body (running, balancing, jumping)

Social and emotional

Sharing, waiting for a turn, kindness and managing feelings

Art, music and play

Creativity, rhythm and imagination

Understanding the world

Nature, people, community, safety and healthy habits

Our programmes

Pick the programme that fits your child's age. The school office will confirm age limits for the coming year.

Playschool (ages 2 to 3)

A gentle start for the youngest children, with songs, sensory play, simple stories and learning to be away from home

Nursery (ages 3 to 4)

Growing words and independence, with colours, shapes, counting, drawing and early sounds

Junior KG (ages 4 to 5)

Letter sounds, early reading, numbers up to 20, pattern work, pencil control and group activities

Senior KG (ages 5 to 6)

Reading and writing simple words and sentences, number work and simple sums, general knowledge and getting ready for Class 1

Getting ready for Class 1

By the end of Senior KG, children are confident speakers, can hold a pencil, read simple words, count and add small numbers, follow instructions and work happily in a group. We guide families on choosing a primary school and share a record of each child's progress.

How we track progress

Teachers watch each child in the six areas and write a monthly progress note, which the academic manager approves before parents see it. There are no exams at this age. Parents can see progress after signing in, and we meet at parent-teacher meetings to talk about next steps.

Homework

Homework is given every school day and kept short and playful, such as counting stairs, naming colours at home or reading a story at bedtime. It appears in your parent login once the academic manager approves it.
